The Friends of St Bernadette’s is the Parent-Teacher Association for St. Bernadette Catholic Primary School. We are a group of parents, carers and teachers who work together to provide extra educational and fun opportunities for all the pupils at our school.
By deciding to send your child or children to our school you automatically become a member of the Friends.
Our aim is to provide additional resources and support to the school, improving the environment in which our children are educated. We organise a huge programme of fundraising events each year, which includes the St. Bernadette Summer Fete, school parties and discos, picnics in the playground and whole school planting for our much-loved feast day. The proceeds from these events are used by the school to fund purchases that would not otherwise be possible.
We contribute towards big projects such as the climbing equipment in the junior playground and the play area in reception, as well as other smaller items that enrich our children's learning.
All members of The Friends Committee are volunteers who give up their valuable time to support the school and our children. You may choose to become as involved with The Friends as you wish. This may simply mean coming along and supporting some of the events we host throughout the year or getting more involved by lending a much-needed helping hand. Any involvement from parents, no matter how small or large, is equally important to us. We all have our children’s interests at heart and welcome your support.
We hope that you and your family enjoy our fundraising events and will support us by: offering donations, helping out or simply by turning up to take part!
