Are you looking for a school place for your child from September 2026?

Choosing the right primary school is an important decision, and we are here to support you every step of the way.

If you are looking for a place for September 2026, we are happy to guide you through any aspect of the admissions process.

Supporting a smooth transition

We have a strong transition programme in place for children who join us in September and at any other points in the school year. Please be reassured that we understand how important it is for your child to begin to settle as quickly as possible and build strong relationships with staff and their peers.

We want you and your child to know you belong to our community from the moment you are offered a school place in our school. Our dedicated team is here to support you every step of the way, providing information and guidance to help you feel at home.

At St Bernadette's we take pride in our inclusive and welcoming community, where every child is valued and respected.  This is essential for your child's academic and personal growth.

We will invite you on a school tour where you will have the opportunity to meet the Headteacher, meet our fantastic children and observe our wonderful teaching staff in action. You will meet key members of our school staff such as the Office Manager and Wrap Around Care Manager.

We also recommend taking time to explore our website and social media channels to gain a gimpse into life at St Bernadette's.

Next Steps

When you accept a school place at St Bernadette Catholic Primary School, you will be invited to attend a transition meeting with the Class teacher. This is also an opportunity for you to meet key members of staff, ask questions, and learn more about our school.

Once you have joined our school, we will keep in touch with you regularly to ensure that you and your child are settling in well. Your child will be given a friendship buddy to support their transition and we will let them know  members of staff in their Phase who are there to help them from day one!  We also encourage you to get involved in our school community, whether through volunteering, attending events, or joining our Friends association.

If you have any questions at any stage, our admissions team is here to help. You can reach us at: admissions@stbernadetteschool.co.uk.
