Pupil Leadership

We have a variety of leadership roles for our pupils to enable them to shape our community. These roles help our pupils grow into thoughtful, responsible future leaders who have a desire to serve and impact those around them.

Faith Ambassadors

Our Faith Ambassadors are children from Years 5 and 6 who help to lead the spiritual life of the school. They prepare and lead prayer and worship, support liturgies and encourage others to live out Gospel values through their words and actions. They take an active role in key moments across the Church’s year, including leading pilgrimages such as praying the Stations of the Cross during Lent and supporting the May Procession in honour of Mary. They play an important role in helping our school community grow in faith, kindness and respect.

School council

Our School Council is made up of one representative from every class from Reception to Year 6. They represent the voice of pupils across the whole school and work to improve our school environment. Representatives listen to the ideas and concerns of their classmates, share these in meetings and work together to make positive changes for everyone. They lead and support initiatives such as recycling, reducing litter and promoting anti-idling to help care for our planet. They also sample school meals and share pupil feedback to help improve the food menu and make positive changes for everyone. Through this work, they promote responsibility, sustainability and pupil voice.

Pupil leadership team

Our Pupil Leadership Team is made up of Year 6 pupils and includes Head Pupils (usually four to six children), Prefects and House Captains. . They act as role models for the rest of the school and help to promote our school values every day. They support staff and pupils by helping with assemblies, collecting and announcing house points, setting up equipment for assemblies and welcoming and guiding visitors during open days for prospective parents. They also support younger pupils, assist at events such as Sports Day and take on a range of responsibilities that help the school run smoothly. They show leadership through kindness, teamwork and a strong sense of pride in their school.

Sports ambassadors

Our Sports Ambassadors are two Year 6 pupils who help to promote active play and positive participation in sport across the school. They lead games in the playground and encourage inclusive play so that everyone can join in and enjoy being active. They also help to lead whole-school sporting initiatives such as the Santa Dash at Christmas, promoting enjoyment of physical activity and school spirit.
