Year 2

In Year 2, we continue to develop a love of reading and writing through engaging texts and exciting opportunities to write for different purposes.

In RE, we explore a range of Bible stories from Noah’s Ark to Pentecost, deepening our understanding of what it means to live out God’s word through learning about the Holy Spirit. We also enjoy performing our Nativity at Christmas, where the children proudly showcase their acting, singing and dancing talents.

Through our History topics , we travel back in time to learn about the Great Fire of London and explore the inspiring story of explorer Robert Falcon Scott and his adventure to Antarctica. Our Geography learning takes us across the world as we discover the unique landscapes, animals and cultures of Australia and investigate the fascinating climates of the Polar regions.

Children enjoy developing their  creativiteand practical skills by designing, making and evaluating our own moving vehicles, as well as learning to sew when creating puppets.
