St Bernadette Parish and Westminster Diocese
St. Bernadette’s RC Church
Our parish was founded in 1937 and the school opened in 1938. Our current church was built in1961.
We are very lucky to have our parish school sharing the same site. Our church and school are the very heart of St Bernadette’s parish. Our school provides a Catholic education for pupils based on the school Mission Statement of “Learning with Christ as our guide” which builds on the teachings of our Catholic faith within the church.
Together we provide wonderful opportunities for the children to visit the church regularly as part of school life and for visitors to visit our school.
Parents are the first educators of their children and you can be assured that the parish and the school work together to build on these important foundations.
The parish provides baptism, First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion programmes for our younger parishioners to receive their first three Sacraments supported by our volunteer Catechists and our parish school.
Our parish offers a wide variety of parish groups and we encourage parishioners to join groups to support our work of service to our school, parish and wider community. Please talk to myself, Linda or Ally in the office, our Lead Catechist or fellow parishioners for more information.
Our parish website provides other information including weekday and weekend mass times and our weekly parish newsletters.
I look forward to welcoming you into our parish.
Yours in Christ,
Father Matthew Heslin, Parish Priest
