Reception

In Reception, we continue the valuable work begun in our school Nursery, building on children’s curiosity, confidence and early enquiry skills as they explore more complex ideas.

Texts such as ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ deepen their joy in storytelling, repetition and language. ‘Errol’s Garden’ helps them understand diverse communities and how people work together to make positive change.

Experiences like the Christmas performance and visiting Odds Farm broaden their awareness of people, places and cultural events.
