Communication with Staff
At St Bernadette's we believe that parents are a child's first educator and working in partnership is invaluable to supporting your child in their journey through primary school.
General administration queries
If you have a general query or information that must be urgently shared with a member of staff, please contact the school office through:
01895 232 298office@stbernadetteschool.co.uk
There are a variety of ways for our community to speak to members of staff. Below are a few examples and ways you can contact staff.
If you have a concern or a query about your child then the first person to speak to is your child's class teacher. You can speak to the teacher in a variety of ways:
- Speak to the teacher at the end of the school day on the playground
- Email your child's class teacher. (Please note that staff have two working days to receive your email and respond)
- Contact the office on phone number or email above and ask the member of staff to return your call.
We have a number of dedicated email addresses in school to enable you to contact specific members of staff:
Welfare: welfare@stbernadetteschool.co.uk
Family support: familysupport@stbernadetteschool.co.uk
SEND: send@stbernadetteschool.co.uk
Finance team: finance@stbernadetteschool.co.uk
How do I escalate my queries after speaking to my child's class teacher?
If you wish to seek further support and guidance please contact your child's Phase leader who is also a member of the senior management team:
- Miss Simpson - Nursery and Reception
- Miss Callender - Years 1 and 2

- Mrs Rennie - Years 5 and 6
You may also speak to a member of the leadership team.
