From 6th to 15th March, schools across the country took part in British Science Week. Here at St Bernadette, we joined in with lots of fun, hands-on Science investigations across the school. These included learning about how different creatures camouflage and creating camouflage habitats in year 2, making rain clouds in year 4, and investigating rust in year 5!
As part of this, children in all classes were asked to design a poster to celebrate the theme: ‘Our Diverse Planet’. We were inundated with entries and I was very impressed with the effort so many children and families had put in to create such high-quality work which showcased their artistic skills as well as their fantastic scientific knowledge.
It was difficult to pick just one winner from each class, but the following designs were chosen and have been entered into the British Science Association’s national poster competition. Good luck to all the entrants!
